Holiday Lights in Brooklyn, the Bronx, & Queens
The holiday season is amongst us, which means it is time to get in the spirit and be merry! One of everyone’s favorite traditions is gathering with friends, family, and neighbors to check out the holiday lights. Whether you will be in the Bronx, Queens, Long Island, or Brooklyn, there are many places to see the best lights around! Gathered are a few hot spots for New York holiday lights that we recommend checking out:
- The Bronx – Head over to Pelham Parkway North to visit the Garabedian Family’s Christmas House in Baychester. This spectacular home allows you to see over 200 animated figures dolled up in Hollywood-style gowns, handcrafted by the family themselves. Since the neighborhood chimes in to bring holiday cheer as well, this is a great stop to look at holiday lights with your family.
- Queens – Nearly every Queens resident joins forces to bring holiday cheer to the area, but the intersection of 166th Street and 23rd Avenue is a hot spot you cannot afford to skip. Known as Santa’s Corner, this is a spectacular way to experience the holidays as the entire neighborhood is illuminated.
- Brooklyn – The Holiday Light Spectacular at South Slope in Brooklyn incorporates the handmade creations of all the locals. Each year, the neighborhood teams up to choose a unique storyline and theme for the holiday season. From 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. every night, you can enjoy the magnificent light display with accompanying holiday music. Attending the Holiday Light Spectacular will become a family tradition for years to come!
